Joint Doctoral Conference on Project Management

We would like to invite you to a joint doctoral conference on project management by the Leeds Centre for Projects, University of Leeds; the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, UCL and the Department of Engineering Management, University of Manchester.

Conference attendance during doctoral studies is of great importance as it exposes PhD researchers to feedback external to their supervisory team, prepares them to succinctly explain and justify their work and gives them an understanding of the wider conversation taking place in the field of project management. This conference intends to bring together PhD researchers and their supervisors from three leading hubs on project management research worldwide.

Why you should attend

This conference is aimed at:

• doctoral researchers in all stages of their research journey (from their first to their last year). It will give you the opportunity to present your work and get feedback in a conference-like, but friendly and developmental environment and to build your network with fellow PhD researchers as well as academics in project management.
• doctoral supervisors. It will give you the opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking and you will support the development of a doctoral research community.

Awards

The best paper presentation and the most innovative paper/research will receive an award.

Conference format

The conference is planned as a one-day event and will be taking place in person. There will be plenty of time for networking, a keynote by Prof Martina Huemann and parallel paper presentation sessions.

Registration to the conference closes on 8^th May 2024. Conference attendance is free, but travel cost needs to be covered by the delegates themselves.

Refreshments and catering will be provided throughout the conference free of charge.
