Following the recent announcement that Dr Luca Sabini has been appointed as Deputy Director Student Education at the School of Civil Engineering, we are delighted to announce that Dr Rodrigo Juarez has taken over from him as Programme Leader for the MSc in Engineering Project Management (EPM).

Rodrigo has been at the University of Leeds since September 2018, first as an MSc student, then as a PhD researcher and now for the past two years as a Lecturer in Project Management. He has an in depth understanding of our philosophy at the School and the LCP and played an integral part in the programme redesign a couple of years ago. His blend of practical experience and academic expertise puts him in an excellent position to lead our EPM programme.

He has also just received his chartership with the Association for Project Management and now joins the small group of academics who also are Chartered Project Professionals. This will ensure that our programme, which is accredited as a Recognised Assessment for APM chartership, continues to deliver. He comments on these achievements:

"I’m thrilled to take on the role of Programme Leader for the MSc in Engineering Project Management. It’s an incredible opportunity to shape the future of our students and the profession. I feel the weight of the responsibility (and yes, a bit nervous), but that only fuels my commitment to lead with passion, integrity, and innovation. This opportunity comes just as I received my APM Chartership (ChPP), a milestone our graduates will also be able to aspire to when completing their degree. Thrilled for what comes ahead!"

Congratulations, Rodrigo - both on your appointment as Programme Leader and your chartership!

We would also like to thank Luca for his excellent work in leading EPM for the past three years and for supporting Rodrigo in the initial weeks of taking up his new role.
